Dave Dill Custom Knife $1250 Lot 72

This Dave Dill Custom Knife is a scale release automatic opening knife. This is the prototype make for the T40 design knife. Only a few of these knives have been made. This particular one has a "p" on the blade representing prototype. The handles are ivory with black liner and a single engraved bolster.

The scale release design is also referred to as a slide handle. Notice the picture of the knife being held and notice the right side handle slides slightly up to release the blade. The blade locks in the open position and releases to close by again sliding the right handle up to release the blade from the locked position.
