Thomas Wayne custom cue $5000

This Thomas Wayne cue was made in the mid to late 1980's. The cue design was similar to a Bert Schrager design. This is the first 8 point ivory cue Thomas made and the rings are made of puter. Although Thomas had made earlier 8 point cues with a four high and four low design, he said this was possibly the first 8 point cue made with equal length points and for sure the first 8 point cue he had ever done with ivory points. I had sent this cue to Thomas in about 2005 to have redone. The original owner of the cue had the original stainless steel collar engraved with a flower and initials. Thomas replaced the collar with a titanium joint and joint pin and refinished the entire cue. One of the shafts looks like it was never used. The used shaft looks like it was used very little. The cue weighs 20.6 ounces. The one thin ivory Bushka ring at the base of the forearm where it meets the wrap area does have a small crack in it but does not affect the playablility of the cue at all. Thomas said this was very common for many of the early cues that had added the Bushka ring to their cues especially in thin ivory. Although Thomas does not normally copy other cue makers designs, this was one of his early cues and he said he had taken the design in the butt-cap from one of Bert Schrager's designs.
